Fallout 3 was full of great side bits and mysteries like this. Here's hoping Bethesda announce Fallout 4 at this year's VGAs.

I've asked this before but can't recall the answer. Do I need to play Fallout3 to appreciate New Vegas?

No, not at all.

New Vegas is better in my opinion.

I have the Ultimate Edition on my Steam library, I might try it. I never really "clicked" with Fallout 3.

I'd highly recommend it. So much content and things to see and do.

Agree with Marky and I also prefer New Vegas over FO3, I really need to replay it soon too.

Whilst there is still plenty to see and do, NV is the more concise of the two so it feels a little more focused and less than a slog than the previous game does. Of course, there's nothing particularly wrong with FO3 but at times it can feel a little overwhelming.

I really liked the first couple of hours of FO3 but didn't have much fun with it after that. It really is a great opening though, worth a play if you already own it before you try New Vegas (which I bought in the Game closing down sale ages ago but still haven't started).

I preferred Fallout 3 ... but to me both were brilliant and you don't need to have played either to appreciate the other.

The new Xbox One TV ads are very well made. Just showing games... they kind of get my juices flowing.

I agree! Quite like it!

The voice-over in the Xbox ad is actually from the movie Rocky Balboa, the speech in the film is about fighting back against all the odds. Basically it's Microsoft playing the underdog card.

I see all the Total War games are 75% off on Steam (except Rome II). Can anybody suggest which one is best? I have the urge to play one.

Never really liked the site much. Was only there for the forum personally.

Went and had a quick look. I'm not entirely sure why this whole "let's separate everything into boxes" design is so popular, and it makes it seem more like Buzzfeed than a real website that has news and information. It seems harder to find what you actually want (a bit like the Xbox Dash which is also blocky squares in design...) 

But it probably is a bit better than it was before, and the content is as good as ever.

Urgh, it's horrible. I didn't like the original site layout and this is even worse. And it is utterly devoid of any sense of community. So, I won't be revisiting the site in a hurry.

I didn't think it was so bad, just a little impersonal. The articles look a little too laid out  like the clickbait articles that seem to infest the Internet these days, which is probably the worst part about the design.

Saw this atmospheric and intriguing new trailer for Vane the weekend, the debut game from new developer Friend & Foe. The team contains a number of ex Team Ico members and the influence of Ico and SOTC is plain to see. One to keep an eye on.

Looks interesting. Obvious similarities to Journey but that can't be a bad thing.

I like that the environmental animation has a stop motion quality to it.

I can cash in my GAME virtual shares in a couple of weeks. Currently worth £141 apparently. That should cover most of the new releases I want!

Prey 2 has been cancelled if anyone was still looking forward to that. I loved the first game but didn't think the sequel was looking all that interesting.

Yeah, obviously it was going nowhere which isn't all that surprising really. I kind of think the first person sci-fi horror ship has sailed a bit (after Alien Isolation).
