Kings field for the PS1 is by from software... never seen it in my life before but they've made some interesting things so I thought why not give it a bash

Heard so many good things about King's Field but never had the opportunity to give it a look myself, which is a shame because it shares a lot of similarities (perhaps obviously) to the Souls series.

I went in the shop basically because it was raining.. always known they had ps1 games in there but usually its the typical crud you see everywhere ... Literally saw the From Software in the corner and was oh I am so having that.

Looks good from having a quick look at it, had no idea of its worth but apparently it fetches around £25 so considering what I paid for everything I did very well (most boxed copies of Pinball Fantasies I can find only seem to be about £40).

I remember that King's Field reviewed quite well back in the day. Hard(core) with slightly shonky graphics but rewarding if you see past them

nice, I have a few things on pre-order at the moment actually. Destiny, Hyrule Warriors and Fantasy Life for the 3DS. Then I'm definitely giving it a rest for a while to play them!

Just stuck in a pre-order for Madden '15.

I'm always dubious pre-ordering the game, despite loving the sport, as the stupid exclusivity deal means that EA have managed to get by with the minimum of effort each year. The lack of a demo also raised more concerns than usual.

However, the excitement of the forthcoming new season, watching some streams of those playing via EA Access and/or early release copies, reading some early opinions and hearing the intentions of the current team to try to get the game in a more sim direction (and finally working on the defense, which is my favourite aspect of the sport) I figured I'll give it a chance. I also need to have something, fucking anything, to play on the PS4.

I never gave the game a chance last year after the awful (last-gen) demo so it's probably a good time to see if (and that's a big if) EA have utilised the power of the latest consoles.

Disappointment inevitably awaits me next Friday.

Just grabbed inFamous: First Light and the two Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning DLC.

Admittedly, I already played the Reckoning DLC back when I had the 360 but seeing as I have every intention of returning to the main game on the PS3 at some point and the add-on content was excellent, it made sense to grab it again, moreso as Sony have finally discounted it in their latest sale.

As for First Light, seeing as Fetch was far and away the best character in Second Son, IMO, this just had to be bought.

My Daughter decided she wants a Wii U for Xmas ... was looking at a white one with a wii mote plus, nintendo land, and Party U thrown in for 165quid from shopto... then noticed the same bundle with Bayonetta 2 special edition (the one that has a wii version of number 1 in with it) thrown in on top was only 180    so figured Bayonetta 2 (and the wii u version of 1) for 15quid What the hell I am on that....  Its also a huge relief to know that her main present is out of the way...

Lords of the Fallen has just arrived on the doormat Very Happy.

Been waiting on this for a while and it appears that the confusion over the official release date has worked in my favour. According to the devs twitter, the official release date in the UK was supposed to be the 31st but some retailers (namely shopto) believed it to be the 28th, anyway, I'm certainly not complaining.

Initial impressions and maybe a video or two to follow in due course.

I thought it was October 31st to be honest.

I've liked the look of this in some videos I've seen so I'll be interested to hear your thoughts once you've spent some time with it.

Early signs are extremely positive at the moment. Will post more detailed impressions once I get a couple more hours under my belt, also have a couple of videos which I'm trying to edit (to limit spoilers as best as possible) and then get uploaded once Facebook stops pissing me about.
