Re: Latest Purchases
I upgraded to Nvidia 970. It was about £275.
Easiest thing to upgrade for me with most benefit.
Will build my one from scratch in the future but waiting to buy our own place first as missus wouldn't be happy!

Part of me wants to build a PC but the other part is lazy and just keeps looking at overpriced Alienware setupsMarkySharky wrote:I upgraded to Nvidia 970. It was about £275.

Re: Latest Purchases
After getting seriously fucked off with having to constantly delete/reinstall games on the Vita I bite the bullet and spunked out for a 64gb memory card.
Also picked up Valkyria Chronicles 2 (at long last) and Silent Hill in the Big in Japan PSN sale. Still a few others that I may pick up in the sale yet, if the finances allow.

A friend out of the blue gave me Luminous Arc for the DS for free. They remembered that the second one was one of my favourite games so kindly gave me the first one.

Luminous Arc is an awesome game, so its pretty darn cool someone gave it you..
I have brought a lot of stuff Since I last posted but I guess I will just concentrate on today, Today I got Mighty No 9 for the Wii U for £15 new... the shop that had it had a wii U copy and a xbox one copy both £15 new, I decided to go for the Wii U one because my xbox and all its hardrives are basically super super full.

Grabbed the BioShock Collection on Friday and I've been playing the first game for most of the weekend as a result!
Re: Latest Purchases
Could not get into Bioshock at all.
Picked up Professor Layton and the Curious Village today. I did own it along with Pandora's Box which I loaned out and never got back. Just need to pick up PB again now.

Re: Latest Purchases
Just found it to be dull in all honesty.
I played it for a couple of hours and sat there thinking of how it was well regarded but it didn't grab me in the slightest.

It does start of a bit slow and obtuse which really doesn't help it compared to modern games. But once it gets going it is great!dste01 wrote:Just found it to be dull in all honesty.

Re: Latest Purchases
Maybe I'll give it a shot again one day when I'm in the mood. I don't mind slow games (I'll play pretty much anything), might just be one of those games that doesn't grab me for a while.
Wind Waker was like that, took me three attempts to get into it but when I did I loved it.

Xbox One S.
Well, it was an early present from the missus. Compliments the new 4K TV nicely.

I wish I could say I have bought myself a PSVR but I don't have the money for one at the moment
Re: Latest Purchases
Picked up the 20 Years of Tomb Raider celebration book. It's a massive time covering every aspect of the series - every game is given a chapter, the movies, the models, books, merchandise and fans. It is thorough and detailed with a lovely design and pictures. I'm really looking forward to reading it.

Re: Latest Purchases
Got a bit of stuff in various Black Friday sales.
Tales of the Abyss 3ds second hand for £10
Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate for 3DS for £10
Mario and Luigi Dream Team Bros for 3DS second hand for £8
Homefront Revolution for xbox one second hand for £8
Gears of War 4 For Xbox One from Argos £21.99
Recore for Xbox One from Argos for £15
The downside I have been too busy to play any of it due to work and other commitments, and I havent touched the 3DS stuff because I forgot I had Preorderd pokemon sun and iit turned up and what little time I have had has been spent on that....
I also really really need to buy a new external hardrive for my xbox one at least 2 terrabyte, Argos had a cheap one but it wasnt available for delivery in my area or for pick up in store in any shop I could reach easily....

I got myself a Gamecube bundle for £50... A freeloader (a disc that makes your cube play imports) and then a whole bunch of NTSC (American) games Need for speed hot pursuit 2, Superman shadow of Apokolips, Finding Nemo,Chicken Little, Harry Potter and the prisoner of azkaban, spongebob squarepants the movie, need for speed underground 2, crash bandicoot the wrath of cortex, and Paper Mario the thousand-year door. Yeah it was mostly the last one that made me agree to buy it.

Having a freeloader for the Cube is great, there were some fab NTSC/Japanese only games released for the system.
