Finished Under the Dome series 2, and it was pretty rubbish. It just keeps on layering on ridiculousness over questions, over absurdities, while offering up no answers, yet continually knotting itself in harder to explain oddities. And they've started to use the catch-all explanation "oh it is the Dome that is causing this [Insert unexplainable event]" which is just a cop out. Theres a third season just started, but I'm jumping.

My wife is re-watching all of 30 Rock at the moment and I'm enjoying watching the odd episode with her. Has to be one of my favourite comedy series!

We watched the episode where Jack got mugged last night, was in hysterics at the ending. Very Happy

Watched the first season of Lost Girl, quite enjoyed it. Worth a watch if you haven't seen it before.

Also continuing on with 30 Rock which is fantastic this season six.

It's a big win for Amazon they are going to sell so many Prime Subscriptions off the back of it.

Watched From Dusk Till Dawn TV series on Netflix, because I love the original movie so much. Shouldn't have bothered, as this is the worst TV I've watched for years. It has the same story as the movie, but instead of 2 hours, spun over 10 hours. Its not that great a story to spread so thin. So they've pumped it up with lots of background stories to the vampires, and also boring soap opera shenanigans with a family caught up in it all. It's boring and unnecessary.

I gave up on that after the first episode! One small scene from the film stretched to a ridicilous length to fit an episode...rubbish!

I have been watching Friday Night Lights recently.  It has been excellent.  It may be about American Football and it may be rather melodramatic...but it is utterly gripping and immensly emotional.  Halfway through Season One at the moment and really looking forward to the rest.

Or, y'know, lose some... Wink

I picked up Prime when it was reduced to £59 just before Prime day (on which I bought a £19 Fire Stick (every time I type that, I think it sounds like a symptom of an STD...).  I'm not that impressed with Prime tbh.  I liked it when i had a 30-day trial but now I'm not caning the stuff I'm interested in and it's just 'there', I can see there's less there than on Netflix (aimed at me).

That being said, I started watching Black Sails last night - it's ACIV Black Flag!  Liked that but  I doubt I'll renew my sub next year.

Just finished watching Friday Night Lights Season 1on Netflix and I would already put it up there as one of the best shows I have ever seen.  I may not like American Football, but the characters are so utterly brilliant it sucked me right in.  It was full of emotional moments, challenging decisions and situations and an excellent thread of humour evident throughout.  If made me laugh, cry and even cheer at moments.

Brilliant stuff and I am onto season two already.

Tried to get in to this after watching Parenthood (same creator) but really didn't like the characters that much. Would be interested to see what you think of Parenthood - there's a lot of similarities and a few crossovers between the two apparently.

Finished season three of Warehouse 13. Really enjoyed it and apart from one annoying bit thought that the two part season finale was fantastic.

Have gone straight onto season four.

Season four and five of Warehouse 13.

That's all of them watched, shame that it's over as I was really enjoying watching it. Really good finale episode as well.

Seasons one and two of Chuck.

Didn't rate season one much truth be told, was a very slow burner but thought season two was really good so am pleased that I stuck with it.

Watched Orphan Black season 3.

Great season, definitely not for new viewers. Still find it hard to believe that it's the same actress playing all the characters.

Last series I finished was Scream, the new TV sequel type thing to the films.

It's quite good, self aware and entertaining. If you like the films you should try it.

I've been watching it this week, just finished episodes seven and eight.

I really like it. Yes the plot/story is pretty much the first film but it's good that it has time to breathe and develop. The bits in the hospital and bowling alley were tense but it can also be funny.

One bit that did make me laugh when it probably shouldn't have was the death on the farm, reminded me of Tucker and Dale vs Evil. Laughing

I really enjoyed Scream and rattled through the series at a fair old pace.  Once the actors settled into their roles a bit more, it helped the show get better with every episode.  I also thought the main mystery was really nicely handled, with a lot of nicely thought out red herrings.  The bowling alley episode was my favourite but the final two parter was also great (Ti West directed episode 9!).

Went to start Mr Robot last night but the wife hated it. Back to Friday Night Lights we go.

Oh and both The Flash and Arrow had great returns.

Also, Scream Queens starts on E4 on Monday.  Meant to be similar in tone to Scream (horror comedy) with a great cast and is getting good word of mouth in America.  Looking forward to it.

Finished off Season 3 of Arrow, Season 1 of The Flash and Season 2 of Silicon Valley over the weekend.

Silicon Valley was great. If you haven't watched it and have an interest in how US Tech Giants and Start Ups operate it is worth a look. The only thing that annoys me about the show is that every win the characters achieve is immediately followed by one-to-two terrible things happening.

Season 3 of Arrow was a mixed bag overall, it had some great stuff in there but also a lot of bad. Also they butchered a couple of my favourite Batman/Ra's al Ghul stories as they got deeper into their League of Assassins storyline. Also I did not like the whole Ra's al Ghul being a title that is passed on thing. While the Ra's of the comics is also obsessed with finding an heir he is still one man rather than a long line of guys who the mantel has passed onto. It took away from the mystique of the character for me.

Season 1 of The Flash was pretty much perfect in my opinion. They really get to the core of what makes Barry Allen such a great character and why he does everything he can to help people. The show also lovingly embraces the crazy side of The Flash comics. You have time travel, super intelligent gorillas (although sadly not from Gorilla City!), The Rogues slowly starting to form over the course of the first season and instituting their code of conduct on their villainy and more! The cross over episodes with Arrow were also really good.

The Flash is brilliant.  Season 2 has got off to a really strong start too.  I completely agree with your views on Season 3 of Arrow but I can honestly say that Season 4 has had a much better start as well.  And I cannot wait for the Constantine episode this week!!!
