The Thread for things that don't need their own thread!
Hey I didn't know where to put this so setting up a randomness thread seemed like the best option!
Anyway!
From the end of work on Wednesday I will be on a much needed holiday to get some R&R before my next big push (and possible crunch ) at work. So I am going to take it as an opportunity to take a break from living on the internet every waking moment of my life for a week.
I'll still check in to make sure the place isn't on fire every day or so but otherwise I am going to be drinking heavily by a pool/beach and reading some books! (Yes those things printed on something called p-a-p-e-r)
If I am desperately needed for anything PM me and I'll do my best to reply!
Otherwise just keep talking about games and arguing about the merits of HD Remasters on current gen consoles!

Sooooooo...... Me and the wife are having a baby
It's due at the end of February so from now until then I will be slowly descending into panic mode.
I'm sure it will be fine, I just need to keep calm.
Lots of people have done this before and got through it alright. I'm sure I can raise a healthy, well adjusted super geek who loves comic books, video games, tabletop games and Sci-Fi/Fantasy movies/tv!
If they end up liking football, I don't know what I am going to do. Disowning them is an option right?

Congratulations
I presume then that this is the first. Mine is two years and four months and is bloody fantastic if I say so myself. Only two pieces of advice that I will give is to not listen to anyones advice and no matter how much you prepare yourself for little sleep it is a damn sight tougher then you can ever imagine that it will be.
