It'll probably be a collection similar to last year's Halo: MCC. I'm not that interested myself either but I guess some people will go for it, as long as they don't screw it up like the MCC.

Nah collection of Gears was denied but seems to be legs in a remake of just the first game going by recent news stories.
Re: Deja Vu - the Re-release thread!
I have zero interest in a Gears remake. Never liked Gears

The first Gears was good but not as amazing a so many people say it is. IMO the series only went downhill from there...
Re: Deja Vu - the Re-release thread!
Looks like that rumoured Gears Of War remaster could be a thing, Dishonored too if this is correct.

Re: Deja Vu - the Re-release thread!
Looks like you can add Uncharted to the remaster/remake list. Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection has been spotted in a premature listing on the PS Store for release this year. It's not really a surprise, despite what the article linked below says, a lot of people have been predicting it, especially after UC4 got delayed. Guess this will the PS4's big Christmas game now

In other words, a shitty Christmas for PS4 owners then. Fuck this fucking trend

While this is no substitute for a brand new game and really does highlight Sonys lack of exclusives this is the remake I've been wanting. If this is a trilogy pack I may well be getting it! I'll trade in my old copies as well although they probably aren't worth much.

Re: Deja Vu - the Re-release thread!
If you read ND's Neil Druckmann's Tweet, it's definitely happening and an official confirmation is imminent. The listing just dropped sooner than they wanted.
EDIT: Now confirmed for release on October 9th and it includes access to the Uncharted 4 beta. The collection is all three single player campaigns, now in 1080p/60fps with enhanced lighting, textures and models. Bluepoint Games are handling the conversions.

Re: Deja Vu - the Re-release thread!
They box art seems to suggest it's single player content only with no multiplayer.

Yeah I noticed that too..... with what it says on the box either it will have no Multiplayer or a custom multiplayer mode new and original to this collection.

From what I can gather it is single player only, no multiplayer at all.

Re: Deja Vu - the Re-release thread!
It's a shame there is no multiplayer but I can understand why. The don't want to split the players across the multiplayer for Uncharted 2, 3 and 4 on PS4. Beta access to the Uncharted 4 multiplayer is a nice trade off though...
Re: Deja Vu - the Re-release thread!
The next question then is price...

It's currently listed as £54.99 at Amazon and £49.99 at GAME, but they may be placeholder prices and could change up or down. I probably wont buy it straight away anyway, there'll be plenty of new games around by then hopefully, but I definitely wouldn't pay those prices for what are, despite their quality, still basically years old games given a fresh lick of paint. I'll wait till next year when it's a lot cheaper if I do buy it.

Re: Deja Vu - the Re-release thread!
That doesn't surprise me that it's full price. I would be happy paying a sub £30 price as these are old games and I still have them all on PS3!

Re: Deja Vu - the Re-release thread!
I know I am one of the only people round these parts who likes saints row but I think there re-release of saints row 4 for ps4 and xbox one was the perfect re-master and price point. From release I saw it as low as like 25quid It was 30 in game so I imagine thats the rrp... It had the game, all the downlad content like a game of the year would and the stand along expansion gat out of hell on top... Like them or not you have to admit they didnt cheap out or penny pinch or try to screw people on it.

A valid point and I certainly don't understand the appeal of remasters at full retail price (hell, you know my views on remasters period).......as for fucking Saint's Row, 25 quid is still 25 too much

Next up: Resident Evil 0 is getting a remaster due 2016. Presumably from the strong sales of the original remaster of the first games remake...

Re: Deja Vu - the Re-release thread!
Capcom have said that remasters are going to be one of the key arms of their output going forward which is not a bad thing in my book!Wolvieware wrote:Next up: Resident Evil 0 is getting a remaster due 2016. Presumably from the strong sales of the original remaster of the first games remake...
Re: Deja Vu - the Re-release thread!
I think it is a bad thing if remasters are considered a "key" part of a game company's business plan. Surely that should be on new games. It could cause the company to stagnate a little, which you can argue Capcom already have...

Re: Deja Vu - the Re-release thread!
At least Resident Evil 0 kind of makes sense, in that it's not a game that's only a fucking year old. That said, all interest in that franchise that I once had has disappeared due to law of diminishing returns and shitty sequels so I have no plans on chucking them any of my hard earned.
As for Capcom's 'key' strategy, there's only one fucking game that I want them to remaster and you can guarantee that it will be the ONLY fucking one they don't bother with. Yes, I'm talking about the absolutely incredible Killer 7.

Re: Deja Vu - the Re-release thread!
I do think 0 is very deserving of a remake, it was only on one machine a pretty darn long time ago... but the idea of lets just make remake after remake is a bad idea ... I either want to see some pattern which is like new game , new game, remake or where the remakes are handed out to some off shot studio or group of apprentices as well training wheels as such.
