Playstation VR release date and price announced.
Sony has revealed when PSVR will be in the shops, and how much it will set you back.
No actual day yet but it will be October this year, and it will be priced at £349. It's cheaper than many expected but that's just for the headset and assorted gubbins, you will also need a Playstation camera (got one) and a Move controller (haven't got one) if you haven't already got them and these will be sold separately.
Personally I am interested in it but I'll probably hold off getting it at launch and see how it develops. Anybody else thinking of getting into PSVR?
This is the packaging.
And this is what you get in the box.

I've pre-ordered mine! I've had some hands on time with VR in general that sold me on it. It is very much a case of seeing is believing which is going to be a difficult sell for a lot of people.

I can see it's potential but as Cal says it's hard to demonstrate what's it like unless you actually physically try it out, I haven't yet. I'm sure once it's launched though there will be some shops where you can try it out.
I think you only need a Move controller with games that require a controller in both hands, otherwise a Dualshock4 will be sufficient. Obviously though it's not that practical to hold a DS4 in each hand, although I guess you could try, which is where the Move wand comes into play.

I'm sort of sold - like the idea, kind of think I'll wait for the second, much-improved iteration whenever that happens so we get some less basic-looking titles (or with the PS4.5, if that turns out to be true).
