Re: Netflix. The thread of new additions, recommendations and Originals
A friend created us a Netflix log-in, my god there is a lot of stuff on there that we want to watch in both film and TV.
Despite watching about ten films we still have 190 items in the list.

Re: Netflix. The thread of new additions, recommendations and Originals
Started watching House of Cards last night after lots of recommendations.
Three episodes in and loving it. Intriguing and some good dark humour.
I thought the 'breaking the fourth wall' thing would be it's downfall as that normally annoys me but it works really well in this and is a good tool to illustrate Kevin Spacey's character's thought train. I know that's it's usual use but it works especially well in the political environment the series is set in where lots of skullduggery is afoot!

As per the TV thread I would really recommend Orange is the New Black.

I really want to watch House Of Cards at some point but it strikes me as one of those full-on concentration required things.
On a similar note the next big Netflix Original Marco Polo is out this Friday and it looks quite good. I believe the trailer is up there if you search for it on Netflix.

It does look interesting and it is great to see a non-whitewashing of the cast.

Yes, this could mean I keep Netflix for a bit longer - I've been considering dropping it and getting Amazon Instant Video, which I have on free trial atm (there's more I like on Amazon).

Because I don't want to sit through loads of mediocre TV!

If you haven't, you can massively improve your Netflix experience with unblock-us.com to get access to the other regions (works on your consoles too), and use moreflicks.com to find out what's on where. You can pay yearly for it now so it's about £2 a month.

Marco Polo has been announced for a second season and my favourite bit of news is that Daredevil has been dated for 10.04.2015

Looks like we are getting Jessica Jones this year as well.
That makes me happy.

Excellent, I've wanted to rewatch season 5. I've been watching them on Netflix Canada up to now but that only has the first four.

Really enjoying Lillyhammer at the moment. If there was a Sopranos comedy spin-off based in Norway this would be it!

The trailer for Daredevil is out!
Seems they are going for a much darker tone than the usual Marvel Studios film/TV shows. Looking forward to seeing how it plays out

I am very excited about Daredevil, especially after seeing Stick in the trailer.
I'm wondering if Jessica Jones may appear near the end to prepare for AKA Jessica Jones.

Looks a bit like Arrow in feel. I don't really like Arrow but I'll give this a go if I still have Netflix by then

Re: Netflix. The thread of new additions, recommendations and Originals
I have Arrow to watch so shall see how I get on with it. Daredevil though is a favourite Marvel character of mine and if they go for the Miller/Bendis stories/styles then it should be brilliant.
In other Netflix news it was announced the other day that they are looking at developing a series based on The Legend of Zelda.
I'm a massive Zelda fan but cannot see how it would work as a TV series.

Anyone watched Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt?
We have added it to the list but have yet to watch any of it.
