Well as this was our Game of the Month in the last place thought Id open a thread about it here ... Is anyone still playing Revelations?

Also what is everyone's thoughts in regard to the Resident evil HD remake?

Yes, I am still (struggling) through with this. Initial impressions were favourable, such as a good location, and interesting set up, but as I've continued to play, I'm finding the game a bit too hard, and there are sharp difficulty spikes.

What are you playing it on ?  ...Sometimes I think I would find it easier on a home system with a bigger screen (or heck even on an XL)

I'm mostly enjoying it, and the exploration, but then you come across a ridiculous difficulty spike (like a boss surrounded by normal respawning enemies) which is just crappy difficulty programming.

I'm playing on PS3. If anyone else has it on that, I wouldn't mind a team up for Raid mode.

Resident Evil REmake HD (or whatever HD upgrade version it is) our early next year, first trailer. I think I might trade in my old GC version and pick up this new one. If its a sensible price.

Sign up to the Resi: Contagion website, and if it hits 100% zombie outbreak, then there will be bonus unlockables for the Resident Evil Remastered. What those unlockables are, I do not know!

Me too!

Almost bought Resi 4 on sale on 360 at lunchtime but noticed (I'd completely   forgotten) that I had Code Veronica X from a previous sale, completely untouched! I passed...

I played right thru til the end on Dreamcast (but never did what I thought to be the final boss - ballsed up the inventory and was left with ineffective weaponry) but never touched the 360 one. One of my favourites in the series.

Yes agreed about it being a favourite. Only played the 360 HD version and loved it. Tough but fun.

Code Veronica on the Dreamcast was the first Resi game that I ever played. That was quickly followed by 2 and 3 also on the Dreamcast.

I own all six of the releases for the Cube and 5 and 6 for the 360 but am yet to only have played the rather excellent number 4. Really need to play Zero and REmake on Cube.

Details on Resi Rev 2:

Capcom's survival horror spin-off sequel will feature two playable lead characters: Claire Redfield from Resident Evil 2 and Code Veronica, and Moira Burton, daughter of series regular Barry Burton.

The game will take place in an abandoned island detention facility, with producer Michiteru Okabe also promising a "a variety of locations, each of them filled with unspeakable horrors and unique gameplay experiences".
Revelations 2 will continue to focus on the elements that made the first Revelations so well-received by fans of the series.
"We started development on Revelations 2 with the intention of building upon two of the best-received features of the first title," he explained.
"[We focused on] the survival horror atmosphere, where the player feels a sense of tension and fear at what lies behind every door and down each dark corridor, and the dramatic serial story structure.
"In particular we're taking the story to the next level by crafting the twists and turns of each nerve-wracking plot point so that they slowly build up to dramatic cliff-hangers that will leave players on the edge of their seats, anxious to see what happens next."

It's not that bad a price. I might be tempted by this especially as it is now coop which the first should have been! Might need to try and crack on with that game though - didn't get to finish it while it was game of the month.

I bought Resi 2 on Vita last night, £3.99 (I think that might be on offer though). Resi 3 and the DC of the first one are similarly priced.

I remember 2 being great; hopefully my fond memories won't be shattered!

Don't get your hopes up...

I replayed it year before last in the lead up to RE6. I played the REmake first and graphically RE2 is obviously rubbish in comparison to that version but that aside, it just wasn't as great as I remember.
