When is Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham actually out? It's looking like a step up from part 2.

It pretty much is Lego Justice League though. I guess younger kids don't even know what that is though? Even Batman 2 was subtitled DC Superheroes wasn't it?

Yes it was .... Basicaly DC has not done enough to sell itself and keep current... My daughter can name a million marvel characters , DC wise she can tell you batman, superman a few of there villians and then characters who are in teen titans and thats it (shes 12).

Lego Batman 3 game is the first to come with a season pass. It actually sounds quite good. 6 packs each with new characters, a new level, and based on some theme, such as The Dark Knight Rises Movie and Man of Steel movie. BUT, the first three packs are out on the same release date as the full game, which feels a bit like a rip off, and that it could have been on-disc. It is also a fairly cheapish £12 though. And my interest in this game has gone up a little, truth be told, also based off my enjoyment of Lego Marvel.

The Dark Knight Pack (available 14/11/14)

Experience the heart-pounding chase scene from the iconic film complete with cool vehicles and explosive action. Play as the legendary Dark Knight and Commissioner Gordon, as well as the Joker and his goons as they chase down Harvey Dent’s police escort.  Bane and Catwoman from the third film are also playable.

Man of Steel Pack (available 14/11/14)

Help Jor-El, his wife Lara and their robot Kelex send the infant Superman “Kal-el” into space towards the safety of Earth as Krypton falls into chaos. Find a way inside Jor-El’s home, fight General Zod’s invading forces and battle against Zod himself to save Superman.

Batman 75th Pack (available 14/11/14)

Play as Joker and Harley, setting up a variety of celebration set pieces. Be the Batman and play as some of the most iconic faces of Batman through the years, including his first appearance in Detective Comics #27.

Access to Future DLC Content

Gain access to three additional game packs, featuring new playable characters, vehicles and levels. Details about the additional content will be revealed at a later date.

I don't like the idea of a season passes for family games.

This looks like content that should be in the game already so it's more of a money making scheme.

But at the same time it's the best piece of DLC for a Lego game yet as it normally is just character packs. So what's wrong with a season pass when it will save money over buying the DLC individually?

I get that aspect it just seems weird to be pushing it for a game mainly aimed at kids.

Lego batman 3 demo out oh right!

Played the demo and it's a fairly lengthy hour play. The first section is typical Lego fare. It did remind me that I never really liked the chafing suits nature of the puzzles in previous games and it's the same here. The second part though was brilliant, a Lego version of Resogun and great fun. The final part was a bit messy and hard to work out what to do but ok. I still would like to play the full game as the Lego games are consistently good. Lego Marvel is ace.

A level based on Arrow is the next Lego Batman DLC, which looks really cool. I love how the DLC has been based on particular DC movies.

Lego Marvel 2 announced for Autumn. Lego Jurassic Park also confirmed. Very exciting!

Did anything ever get said again about releasing the final Hobbit movie Lego tie-in as DLC for Lego The Hobbit?

No new on Hobbit 3. Lego Hobbit got short changed I thought but wasn't very good. If it's still coming out as DLC I no longer have the game to play it. 

I reckon they are holding out to release a full price retail game with Hobbit 3 included, or maybe a compilation disc with LOTR. I would like them to release it as a downloadable standalone game like Infamous First Light.
