Actually just found out Sony have put a shipping embargo on pre-orders so none can be sent out until Monday at the earliest. Tuesday it is then.

Well it's finally out and people can find out for themselves what it's like. I've already shared my early impressions in Now Playing but I've played a bit more now and after a slow start things are really heating up. I also said how good it looks but it bears repeating, it's beautiful.

and the scenery is incredible.

There's also a lovely little easter egg early in the game that will have Playstation and Naughty Dog fans grinning from ear to ear.

I got to the chapter where you get to drive the jeep last night, and it's a blast. The controls are so smooth and responsive to use and so much fun, I was just bombing around doing handbrake turns in the mud and splashing through the water with a big grin on my face. Naughty Dog should consider doing an off road racing game!
