The Witcher thread
Back playing The Witcher 2 now and it's still a good looking game (The Witcher 1 screenshot below for comparison).

Re: The Witcher thread
Not sure if this video I took does the graphics any justice. Probably need to change the quality setting when watching the video.
Re: The Witcher thread
I really need to give The Witcher another go but this time skip the first game and jump straight into 2.
Re: The Witcher thread
I have tried to play the first game multiple times and it just bores the shit out of me.MarkySharky wrote:Noooo!!! Why skip the first one?

Good video - this new forum is a good way of us sharing our own videos, and the PS4 allows you to do it so easily, so I think this is something we could all use pretty simply. I'd love to see more of our own videos on this site.

Cancelling my pre-order.
Just not feeling single player games right now and don't want to commit this early.
Not normally something to mention but pre-ordered directly with CD Projekt Red so had to pay up front.

Re: The Witcher thread
Now this is how you do DLC, CDPR have announced that all 16 pieces of DLC planned for The Witcher 3 will be available absolutely free to anybody who buys the game. No catches, no season pass required, no matter where you buy it from or which edition, or on what platform, it won't cost you a penny.

Re: The Witcher thread
Superb! And the game itself comes with a book and cd already making a great package. Can't wait.

The Witcher 3 delayed again I'm afraid guys, now due May 19th 2015. CDPR say they jumped the gun with the February date and need more time.

Disappointed but I'd rather have a finished game. With this and Bloodborne being delayed a month, February '15 has gone from being a really busy month to one with nothing at all worth buying (The Order:1886 doesn't count because I still can't see what all the fuss is about). Then again, it will give me a couple of months to get involved with Bloodborne before getting sidetracked by this.

Delayed games are becoming the norm with these next gen games really. I'm not too fussed. Happy to wait, plus it is spreading the game releases out fairly nicely through the year.

Re: The Witcher thread
They most likely looked at the recent mess with AC: Unity and made the decision to spend more time polishing and rounding out the game. We are still in the devs getting to know the hardware stage of this gen give it another year or so and the kink will be ironed out.
Re: The Witcher thread
Well if it means Witcher 3 will be a rare release that won't require a huge day one patch I'm all for it. It does make a once rammed February a bit bare all of a sudden after Bloodborne's delay as well, I guess Sony are happy as The Order now has pretty much a clear field, although I'm still not convinced by that game personally.

Re: The Witcher thread
I see Witcher 2 is being given away as next month's Xbox 360 Games With Gold. I recall people in these parts liking the game and I've just renewed my Gold sub, optimistically, in lieu of an imminent arrival of an Xbone. I might be tempted to give it a blast.

Re: The Witcher thread
I think I will be willing to give the Witcher 2 a go then, it's free after all
Re: The Witcher thread
I'd have liked to have played Witcher 2 as I never have, and it would have prepared me for Witcher 3, unfortunately I no longer have my 360 having sold it a couple of months ago to put the funds towards an Xbox One.

Re: The Witcher thread
Witcher 2 was my second favourite game of last gen. I can't wait to go back to that world and play as Geralt of Rivia again. It's got fantastic characters, well told narrative and then top notch RPG gameplay. It even inspired me to buy one of the books however I've not read it yet.

Re: The Witcher thread
Got to admit I'm concerned by the mention of other playable characters in The Witcher 3. I just want to play as Geralt
Re: The Witcher thread
It seems like they are setting it up for the new character to take over at the end of this game.MarkySharky wrote: Got to admit I'm concerned by the mention of other playable characters in The Witcher 3. I just want to play as Geralt
Re: The Witcher thread
If that's right, I'm so going to come back to this and go...Spoilers!

Re: The Witcher thread
So the big news story today is real time facial fuzz growth in Witcher 3! Awesome!
Although if you don't want it growing you will be able to download a beard pack DLC which lets you choose a predetermined look permenantly.
I think if you don't want growing facial hair they should make you shave in-game if you don't want it! Who doesn't want beard growing?

The whole fact that this is a conversation people are having about a game is still mind boggling to me!Wolvieware wrote:So the big news story today is real time facial fuzz growth in Witcher 3! Awesome!

We truly are living in the future! A wonderful place with realistic beard growing simulations in our action RPG games!
