Swapping the HDD is a breeze. Downloading all your games is a pain and best done overnight.

Since 2.50 firmware you don't have to redownload the games, you just back it all up

Re: PlayStation 4
Here's an interesting question. My system storage management says I have 20.9GB free still on my HDD. So why will it not download The Walking Dead, supposedly only 5gb?

Re: PlayStation 4
I did know someone who couldn't download a 15GB game with 24GB of spare storage, after he made some inquiries he found out on PS3/4 you need at least double the space of a file size to even begin the download, so he needed 30GB in his case. Why that is I don't know though, and obviously you should still be able to download The Walking Dead with plenty to spare, so it's a strange one.

On PS3 that is the case but on PS4 it all depends on how the game is put together. If it is set to download as one whole file you need at least double the space sometimes more. One allocation to download to then the other to install to. If it is setup to download in the background as you play you need less extra space because it is installing the game in blocks.
Also it's Telltale, they're going to take the easiest option that inconveniences their end users 100% of the time!
Re: PlayStation 4
So I swapped my hard drive over the weekend which was easy as anything so you were all right!
The annoying but was setting it all up to how it was before - installing all the games, downloading all the patches and my DLC. I must have had about 40gb to download! At one point my console did brick it when I tried to install another game on top of everything else. But I left it going overnight and it should all be done now. I now have 1.45tb to play with.

So did you have to redownload any games Wolvie or just the patches? Looking at getting an SSD in BF sales

Re: PlayStation 4
Oh and did you just transfer it all straight on to the new one or dos you need a "middle man" backup?

I did redownload all games - not sure if there is another way to do it. I don't many download games anyway as I buy disc and I only have smaller download titles. It was the updates that were the pain in the ass.

My PS4 pad has broken tonight. The triggers have quite literally broken off during a frantic F1 race I have been wanting a new one for a while but the £40 price puts me off. But now I've gone and got a new one as I have no choice really .

Looks like PS4 Slim is a thing, may be unveiled at the special event Sony is holding in New York next month when official details of Neo are also expected to be announced.
