PlayStation Network
Some of you may have noticed that PSN is currently down, well according to VG 24/7 the service has suffered a DDoS attack by a group calling themselves @LizardSquad. Other gaming services have also apparently been attacked including Battle.net and League Of Legends.

Yes, it's a bit of a pain. Bank holiday weekend as well, I wanted to play online (watching movies instead).

Re: PlayStation Network
The group responsible apparently have a grudge against Sony or a point to prove but, to me, they're just a bunch of tossers!

Re: PlayStation Network
I must have been one of the few that didn't have ANY problems with PSN yesterday.
Not so today though and it's been pretty shit for most of the day. Most annoyingly the f'ing thing crashed when I was right in the middle of a rare excellent and fascinating game of Madden online (and believe me it is bloody rare).

I haven't had any problems at all today, but PSN was down all day for me yesterday. Perhaps they're giving all the people who didn't suffer yesterday all the hassle today!

Re: PlayStation Network
The maintenance for today has been postponed to make up for the lost time over the weekend.
EDIT: Just used my mighty Admin powers to change the thread title from Playstation Network to PlayStation Network.

Re: PlayStation Network
Only Velocity 2X interests me next month. In October we should have Driveclub PS+ edition right?

Re: PlayStation Network
I don't know half those games, but wouldn't mind giving Playstation Smash Bros a go.

Credit where it's due.
I keep thinking that the PS+ offerings can't get worse each month but Sony are finding a way to prove me wrong.

Re: PlayStation Network
They seem to have been declining since Sony announced a big surge in subs following the PS4 launch and the requirement of a PS+ sub for online play for PS4 games, complacency maybe? After all most companies who provide a service will only give you the minimum they think they'll get away with.

Re: PlayStation Network
While I sort of agree with the above, the other angle is have we been spoilt by previous months? We are still getting full games each month and better offerings than Xbox.
I think we all knew they were going to struggle with PS4 titles for free, but I wonder if that is also having an impact on PS3 as other game companies are not wanting to giveaway titles when trying to get us to buy PS4?
I do think this is slightly better than the last two moths oly because I have a vague interest in Battle Royale they I now get for free but it is still a fairly poor showing. Can't wait for DriveClub though! (Even in it's shit cut down version)

Re: PlayStation Network
It's never going to pleas everyone and I've got plenty of good games from previous months that I haven't played so I'm happy.
Re: PlayStation Network

Re: PlayStation Network
Velocity 2X is pretty friggin sweat. Was playing it on the train home and nearly missed my stop I was so into it!
Also PlayStation All-Stars is pretty good for a brawler.

Re: PlayStation Network
Anybody know when Playstation Plus will be updated next month?
I ask because it's usually the first Tuesday of the month for America and Wednesday for the EU, next week though Tuesday is September 30th and Wednesday October 1st. I'm presuming it wont be until the following week because there haven't been any games announced yet and it would tie in with the release of Driveclub.

Re: PlayStation Network
Aren't they on a four week cycle now, rather than first Wednesday of the month?
