The Swapper is great. I have it on Steam and whilst playing it I thought "this would be a great Vita game".

Regarding "Last Light" - would I need to have completed Second Son to get the story? I guess so.

I've played The Swapper too and it's a good game with some great head scratching puzzles. It's like a side scrolling, non combat, puzzle based Dead Space.

I haven't played Last Light but it's set before the events of Second Son, so I'd say you could probably play it without finishing the main game.

It's an unusual move for Sony to announce some PS+ titles two months in advance, maybe they have listened to the complaints of recent line ups and realised they need to up their game, the quality of the games is certainly a step up.

All looks good to me, I've been waiting for Secret Ponchos for ages!

Also rather glad I traded in my copy of Injustice: Gods Among us a month or so ago while it still had value Very Happy

As for this month I'll give Binding of Issac a go and The Hungry Horde looks interesting.

Yeah it's pretty good, certainly worth checking out for free. I'll try and put a brief video up so you can see what it's like and how it plays.

Absolutely zero interest in Injustice: Gods Among Us so I won't even bother 'claiming' that one and already played inFamous: First Light (which I really enjoyed). I'm not really familiar with the others but the brief details you guys have mentioned hardly make them sound like the stuff I tend to enjoy so I'll probably be passing on those too.

I was hoping that Knack would have been the first retail game to hit PS+ as I've always been keen to try it, I'm sure it'll turn up eventually however.

Double post but what the hell?

I gave some of this months offerings the sub-account treatment last night, namely Steamworld Dig, The Binding of Issac and Frozen Synapse and TBF it's pretty slim pickings. None of them really offered anything to get excited about and the only one that may have some potential is Frozen Synapse although there's a lot to take in with that one. Even after completing the tutorial I felt slightly lost/overwhelmed but it may just been an off night so I may give it another chance, less so the other two.

Also grabbed Escape Plan but didn't get a chance to give it a look, however, I'm also not expecting much from that either.

The hitman game is pretty good value for a freebie. Pretty much four free PS3 games this month. Top stuff making up for some lacklustre months recently.

The line up is more like the stellar offerings of last year, just in time too as my PS+ sub expires in December and I was 50/50 whether to renew after some insipid months.

Looks like the "sorry we were down over Christmas" are starting to roll out to people. 5 Day extensions to PS+ Memberships and this weekend 9am on Friday all PS Store transactions. (With exceptions for pre-orders, rentals, etc.)

I might be buying a couple of games this weekend then.....

Been trying some of the PS+ games over the last week. First Light is really good, I've completed it and enjoyed it more than the main game, Whoa Dave I wasn't keen on - I like retro games but this is a bit too retro for me. Then there's Duke Nukem' 3D, I only played a couple of levels and then it kept freezing and locking up my PS3 at the same spot, so I've given up on that, apparently this is a well known bug and to be honest it's not much cop anyway.

The 10% Discount is now live for UK PSN Users!

Here's the code:
United Kingdom: T6R3KB529K

Sadly there are a few restrictions on the code. It is one use only and there is a cart size limit on PSN of 10 items. So choose wisely if you are using it.

There isn't anything on PSN at the moment that I want to buy, so I don't think I'll be using the discount. I'm not going to spend money on stuff I don't need just to get 10% off.
