Re: Football, isn't it?
Harry Redknapp leaving QPR, wonder if he will back in management or if that's it.

Lambert gone as Villa manager, hardly surprising.
3-0 win for Forest tonight.

Aston Villa v West Brom

I think Sherwood will do alright at Villa this season. It'll make such a change to the players to have someone a bit more enthusiastic. The snippets of Lambert I've caught on WM every week showed him to be totally uninspiring.

Unfortunately Villa didn't win their first game under Sherwood leaving them in the relegation zone.
4-1 win for Forest over Bolton though.

Re: Football, isn't it?
My predictions for the final top 4, bottom 3 and FA Cup winners.
1) Chelsea
2) Man City
3) Arsenal
4) Liverpool
18) Sunderland
19) Burnley
20) Leicester
And Liverpool to win the FA Cup.

Going on Man Utd's current form I would probably have to agree with you on the top four. Same with the bottom though I would like for QPR to go down.

Re: Football, isn't it?
Man Utd have got a very tough run in as well, I think they have to play all the other teams in the current top 7 apart from Southampton. Their games against Liverpool away and Arsenal at home will be crucial, they'll probably need to win all their remaining home games to be honest.

I'd go for the same top 4. Leicester, QPR and Sunderland. I think Burnley ,ought get out. I'd like to see Villa go. Nothing against the club, but I don't like Sherwood.

Re: Football, isn't it?
Well after yesterdays results it's looking more likely that Sunderland will go down with Burnley staying up.
Wouldn't be surprised to see Poyet gone before the end of the season.

The Secret Footballer has written about deep problems at Sunderland http://www.thesecretfootballer.com/articles/the-secret-footballer/24353/sad-tale-of-adam-johnson-and-sunderland-afc/ I wouldn't be surprised if they went.
Poyet is on borrowed time, even if they stay up. There's a rumour Big Sam will take over. Hope so

Erm, well, Poyet...
Thought he might have lasted a little longer but I suppoer when Villa double the amount of goals scored away against you...

Mackay fired as Wigan manager, most likely joining Blackpool in being relegated.
Looks like could/should be an interesting and exciting finish to the season for all the leagues.

Well, West Ham players are pretty much on the beach already!
Not that that has stopped me from just buying a couple of tickets to the Burnley game bank holiday weekend...

Massive, massive game for LCFC against Newcastle on Saturday and I absolutely see the Geordies winning it, I can feel it in my waters already.
If we do lose it I'll be in a stinking bad mood all next week.

Re: Football, isn't it?
I'm a Forest supporter so the Premiership is nice and neutral for me.
Well apart from the fact that I want QPR and Newcastle to go down.

Leicester will stroll it, Newcastle are already on their summer holidays.
Talking of Leicester, did you see Nigel Pearson's press conference after the Chelsea game? He took exception to a question by a journalist and went off on one, to be fair he has now apologised to the journalist in question but it is funny.

Pearson is so arrogant.
And that's speaking as a West Ham fan - we know about arrogant bosses!

Re: Football, isn't it?
As I thought Leicester beat useless Newcastle, but Sunderland and Villa won too though. After losing today QPR and Burnley look doomed, it's just a question of who joins them now. I'm going with Sunderland, three of their remaining games are away, including Arsenal and Chelsea!

Re: Football, isn't it?
Well, last day of the lower leagues and Forest lost again. On the plus side the scum lost and missed out on the play-offs.
As for the relegation battle in the Premiership, wow, what a day. I think that whilst Newcastle on paper have the easier games I can still see them taking the third spot.

Re: Football, isn't it?
Newcastle were terrible, even more so than I could imagine. They are falling apart. The players were uninterested and John Carver has openly criticised his players and named names. On Radio 5 they mentioned rumours of Steve McClaren being installed before their next game with orders to keep them up and I wouldn't be surprised if that happens. The only silver lining for them is that they don't have any big teams in their final three games.
As for Leicester, they've got their tails up and are really going for it, but still remain a single point above the drop. I'm far from feeling relaxed. I've supported them long enough to know they are well capable of ballsing things up!
