Re: Football, isn't it?
We somehow lost to Rotherham on Saturday. The classic sucker punch after we'd missed a couple of sitters and an open goal.
Still, we played well and I was at the Norwich game and we deserved that win too. Testing early fixtures though - Fulham on Wednesday then I'm going to the Cardiff game on Saturday. If we've got 7 points by that stage I'd be pretty pleased - things look positive for the season then.

Hoping for a better result for Man Utd tomorrow compared to the Swansea game!

Nice to see a West Ham win. Palace look like they're in trouble.

Yeah they look rubbish don't they? Better luck for you guys today it seems and took your chances unlike last week.

Last week was v frustrating - we played well but couldn't convert (Spurs looked poor - they can forget about CL football next year unless they make some purchases).MarkySharky wrote:Yeah they look rubbish don't they? Better luck for you guys today it seems and took your chances unlike last week.
Fortunately, Kevin Nolan is injured and we normally look better without him and with Noble as captain pulling strings (rather than doing Nolan's running for him). Sheffield Utd midweek followed by Saints next weekend will be good tests.

Re: Football, isn't it?
I'm quietly pleased with Leicester's start. I'm under no illusions that we are good enough to survive the drop without a fight but I see some signs that we have a couple of players who can do the business. However, Nugent has to step aside; he may have scored 22 goals last season but some of the chances he has missed in the first three games show he is short of the mark for the Premier League. We've got Vardy coming back from a knock and we've just bought a young striker from Man United. However his last game in a United shirt was against MK Dons and he only lasted 60 minutes so we'll wait and see how that purchase pans out.

Ulloa looked good in the LCFC games I've watched so far.

Had to smile at Sky Sports News coverage of deadline day with their big countdown to 11pm only for some of the biggest deals to go beyond that. Wasn't really a deadline after all then was it?

Forest still top of the table after a 5-3 defeat of Fulham.
Talking of Fulham, they are now without a manager alongside Cardiff and Port Vale.

I am not massivly in to football but I think Pearce is doing a great job ...... had to laugh though Im local to nottingham and when Notts played Derby there was a issue with a pitch invasion so when they grab the pitch invading derby fan what do they do .... they try to escort him out of the premises past all the forest fans and wonder why there spitting at him and a few hit him..... braindead or what....
While I hate yobish football behaviour I think that particular course of action was asking for it in a way

Didn't know whether to laugh or feel sorry for Man United yesterday.

The referee completely changed the game by not giving a foul on Rafael for a clear push then awarding a penalty for even less contact, what followed though was mind boggling. Man Utd have now had an even worse start than under Moyes, who must be feeling pretty smug right now.

To be fair you're totally right and it was an awful decision, but the amount of times United (and, to be honest, all the big teams) get refereeing favours against the lower sides makes it so brilliant when it goes the other way.
There's always total uproar for days from millions of their supporters who seem to think it only happens when it happens to them, two or three times a season. It seems to happen more like every other week for the other teams, but of course the media don't give a shit.

After a fine start to the season Forest now cannot get a blooming win. Five draws and a loss from our last six league matches.
