Was in HMV today and it was doing 5 blu Rays for £30, decent recentish stuff too , as well as classics (I picked up Gravity and Apocalypse Now (inc redux) in my batch).

Also picked up limited Edition hardback  GTAV guide for £3.

Every time I get something in HMV (which isn't that often, as the prices are generally not keen),  I wonder if it will be the last time I ever get something in one - I can't see how its business model works any more Rolling Eyes

I think the same thing about GAME sometimes. Especially after they'd appeared to see the errors of their ways after their recent hiccup. Now it's a bad as ever in there.

It has declined since the first 6 months post administration (when it was genuinely good, in that there's be some bargains better than online). Maybe it was cutting margins to get customers onside again.

These days I'm far less likely to buy stuff in there though I still dump px stuff, price matched to CeX up the road, so will spend that (Majora's Mask last week).

I'm relying on them a bit more these days since I've been clearing out my old 360 and PS3 games. Got it down to the bare essentials, stuff I can't trade in or stuff they would give me less than a £1 for. As a result I currently have £80 on a gift card from trade-ins which should serve my game buying needs and crippling Disney Infinity and Amiibo figure addictions Laughing

So I am hoping nothing bad happens for the next few months!
