Gaming Bargains
Thought I would try and get this up and going again as it is useful to a lot of us.
For any of you who were considering the HD Re-release of Cel Damage, Cel Damage HD is £3.29 or £2.96 in the Sony sale.... its cross buy and cross save

Re: Gaming Bargains
Just seen someone post this on Twitter. £130 for a bare bones LG 50" HDTV!
http://www.tesco.com/direct/lg-50pb5600-50-inch-full-hd-1080p-plasma-tv-with-freeview/155-7864.prd?pageLevel&skuId=155-7864
It only has one HDMI port though....
So tempted.................
EDIT: Back up to normal price now. Missed my chance!

Re: Gaming Bargains
One HDMI would be no good to me, my telly's got 4 and I use all of them!

Re: Gaming Bargains
I've only got three HDMIs on mine and I need six (PS3, PS4, 360, Sky box, WiiU and Apple TV)! I have a switcher that puts three into one but that still leaves me one short.

I'm in the same boat. I've just got to many awesome devices living under my TV.
I really do need to upgrade soon though my HDTV is nearly ten years old!
Re: Gaming Bargains
I have four HDMIs, but fortunately, only need 3 - just my games consoles!

Re: Gaming Bargains
Mine's only two years old (and was a top of the range model back then). I thought three was stingy at the time (the 2011 model of my TV had had four).

Deadly Premonition is only £5.99 until Friday on PSN. I'm kinda half tempted, but also not. I wouldn't mind trying it to see what all the cult ravings were all about, but at the same time I don't really want to spend money on something that quite clearly looks...so....shit.

Re: Gaming Bargains
Not really a gaming bargain (unless you think Amazon are going to change the face of gaming) but you can pre-order the Amazon Fire TV for £50 instead of £79 if you are a Prime subscriber.
Only one per prime account though.
I grabbed one as Chrimbo Present for the In-Laws

Do it!
Whilst it looks like shit (and plays like shit to a degree) it is still a great experience with a really decent story and some truly memorable characters. It was also made easier for the PS3 largely because some 360 players had issues with the combat (despite the then three difficulty modes ) so if you don't enjoy the combat, many don't, you can just enjoy the bizarre nature of the game.
Have to admit to enjoying a lot of the stuff that RSG have published (going back to their Wii days) and resisting some of the other stuff in that sale is proving difficult.

Re: Gaming Bargains
I've read some reviews, and watched some videos, and really thought hard over it. But I've decided not to bother. It's not much money, but the length of the game, the fact that it's charms may not possibly shine through, and my already full pile of shame, makes it not really worthwhile, I'm sad to say.

Alien Isolation: Nostromo Edition is only £38.75 on PS4 & XBox One at Gameseek, that's the cheapest I've seen it anywhere.

Re: Gaming Bargains
Still expensive :-( Probably stick with PC version for £22 odd despite my reservations about PC gaming at the moment.

Re: Gaming Bargains
Just I know that in say a years time (if not before) my PC won't be able to handle a lot of new games at top end which ultimately defeats the purpose of why I decided to take up PC gaming. That and the price of PC games compared to console games.
The Evil Within is the first hint of that with its 'recommended' specs.
I think I'll get to the point where it will require researching how much better PC versions are compared to console and how my PC setup compares. I can't be arsed with that.

Discussion on the Playstation blog about the Ts and Cs - apparently you need to have been invited to the offer by PayPal by email.
Quick check of my inbox, and I see I got this last week. Have now put down £50

Re: Gaming Bargains
It's because it's a PayPal promotion, rather than a Sony one. They seem to be pushing their services ATM - I had another 'spend £x, get £y' deal from them today, for Chain Reaction Cycles.

Re: Gaming Bargains
Big sale on PSN for horror titles now.
I was mildly tempted by Dead Space for only £3.99. Fantastic! If you've not played it, do so now. But I've played it through four times, have lots of games to play, and might just stick Dead Space 2 on instead to satiate my Dead Space need. Or play Dead Space 3 which came out free for PS+.
Or hell, just go back to Alien Isolation, which is the same concept!

Re: Gaming Bargains
There's a sale on PSN at the moment, with some huge savings on PS4 games and DLC and extra discounts for PS+ members - up to 60% off. To many offers to list, so head to the PSN Store to check them out, but here's a sample offer.
Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition - £23.99 (40% off with PS+).
Offers last until the end of November.
