Mobile gaming
I just got round to finally starting Deus Ex: The Fall on iPhone having got it free a while back.
So far it's really good and has the best FPS controls I've come across on iOS given how poor the virtual sticks tend to be. Looking forward to having something decent to play on the go.

I'm currently playing Minion Rush. It's mindless fun. I'm also dipping in and out of Rayman Fiesta Run which is similarly geared towards 5 minutes here and there gaming.

Re: Mobile gaming
I've actually started to get into mobile gaming a bit!
I am currently enjoying 80 Days, Warhammer Quest and Blood Bowl Tablet Edition. All great for quick 5-10 min bursts when I am on the tube and I don't have to worry about them syncing data with servers or downloading new levels or that crap that every other iOS game does.

Me too. I've currently got the Deus Ex game and Battleheart Legacy on the go. Such good quality games. The GTA:SA iOS version is also brilliant.
Re: Mobile gaming
I prefer reading when on the Tube/train and for quick blast gaming at home I choose my Vita. The last iOS game I played to any great extent was Xcom (which I'd play on anything given half a chance).
It was great but I had to stop playing in the end - I often work from home and having it on my iPad was too much of a temptation!

Re: Mobile gaming
Nintendo have announced that they will be releasing a mobile game this year.
This is actually quite exciting. It means I might be able to play a Nintendo game, hopefully Mario, without having to buy one of their consoles! It's been a while since I last played a Nintendo game, and wouldn't mind dipping back into their classic platforming action.

It will be interesting to see what kind of games DeNA produce with Nintendo's IPs. I'm conflicted over it to an extent because I don't want to see Nintendo's brilliant characters sullied by mindless money grabbing games...
Re: Mobile gaming
The worst mobile games are those which are console games retro fitted with touch controls. I'm hoping Nintendo do what they do best and create something original that utilises the hardware it is running on in creative and interesting ways. Otherwise we'll just get a Mario endless running game.
