Game of the Month Club: Rules and Nominations
It's back and better than ever! Mainly because I am scraping my patented voting system
Here's how it is going to work:
- I have set up a Backloggery for The Checkpoint.
- Games nominated for GoMC will be added to The Checkpoint's back log of games.
- Each month I will use Backloggery's Fortune Cookie feature to randomly generate* the game we will be playing.
- Those who want to can then play the game and talk about it!
*I can also set certain parameters and filters for themed months and the like.
Game Nomination Rules:
- The game must be easily obtainable. (PS+, Games with Gold, PS Now, etc.)
- The game must be cheap £20 should be the max price* of a Game of the Month.
- Give a reason why a nominated game should be played.
*If a nominated game is more than this and is chosen by the Fortune Cookie we can do a bit of deal hunting for the lowest price.
That's it! So for now people just need to nominate games and give reasons why we should play them in this thread.
BUT!
For the next few months can people make sure they are nominating smaller/shorter games as we make our way through Gamepocolypse 2015. It will make my life easier that's all I'm saying
The first GoMC will be September so get nominating! Also now is the time to speak up if you want me to tweak how things work.
I will also say that people are welcome to think outside of the box on this: F2P, PSone Classics, Mobile and PC/Mac indie games are welcome seeing as they are super easy and relatively cheap for people to jump into.

I like the idea and I also think Max is a good shout for the first game. Everyone's Gone to the Rapture would be a good candidate but I think lots of forumites have played it already.

Re: Game of the Month Club: Rules and Nominations
Any more nominations before I start adding things to The Checkpoint's Backloggery?
Re: Game of the Month Club: Rules and Nominations
I'll be sorting this month's game out at some point today
EDIT:
I've added the following into the list:
Rogue Legacy
Never Alone
Volume
All are meant to be reasonable in length with Rogue Legacy being more of a you can put as much time into it as you want sort of thing.
