Bugs Here Plz

I do enough QA in my job as a QA tester so you guys can do it for me here  

Any bugs or issues with the site let me know in this thread

Just checking if this is settings on my side or a site wide thing.

1) Are you getting email notifications for every single thread?

2) Are buttons like New Post, Edi, Quote, etc. in French for you?

Yes it is all french on my laptop! Lol. Struggling to work out what the buttons are.

Done some digging and I can't find a general disable auto sign up for emails for new users so it looks like everyone will have to change that setting in the preferences individually.

As for the French buttons.... I'm still looking in to that one.

Found the problem but I have to change each instance individually so if you see any French words hanging about the place being French about things let me know where and I'll change them

No French for me when using iPad. Will try PC later. 

Has everyone got the right language setting in their profile?

I had French on my iPad yesterday but all in English, thanks to Cal no doubt   , this morning.

All users should now be able to post links to external sites. I've also tweaked other permissions to make them more like the old site.

One thing though at the moment I have the post editor set to What You See Is What You Get Mode which should give you a taste of what final posts should look like while you are writing them. (Smilies appearing in the editor, images, etc.)

Is everyone happy with this or would you prefer the usual way of writing forum posts?

Seems to be alright again now. Forumotion was having a wobble I think, couldn't log in for a while

I've been noticing that I'm not getting the new posts/replies indicator periodically on forums and threads since Moozo brought it up. I'll do some digging when I can but for now keep an eye on the time stamps on threads rather than the icons for updates!

I'm having real trouble on my iOS devices with logging in. Not your fault, obviously.

Yeah same. If I choose classic version and login and then go back to mobile it seems to be ok.

Sorry only just checking up on things (had a crazy weekend!) I will try and get things sorted today.

For now though I suggest if you are having issue logging in or seeing new posts, try clearing your browsing data, cookies and cache on your various web browsers. All the changes I've made in the past week might be causing conflicts.

What's up with the random links that seem to be propping up in some of these posts? Is it a small price we have to pay for having a free forum or just some kind of buggy bullshit?

An an example (although there are others): My post in the DAI thread provides a link to an Amazon game listing and Cal's post in the same thread links to some random website. Not cool!

EDIT: Nevermind! Only seems to happen when I'm not logged in.

Are the links appearing in-line with the text or are they separate from people's posts? Can give us a screenshot?

I'm guessing it might be the trade off...but I have plans on how to deal with such things in the near future.....

The fact that they're only appearing when I don't sign in would indicate it's just a partner link to increase revenue and the links appear in-line, see below:

If they are there when you are not signed in there is nothing I can do about it. If they appear when you are signed in let me know ASAP.

Mobile site works on Safari on my iPhone but not Chrome.

I've had a look around on the support forum and it seems to be a recurring problem.

All I can suggest is clearing your browsing data/cache on Chrome on your iPad and also selecting the Delete Forum Cookies link on the classic version of the site.
