Hi! My Name Is...

Fresh forum, fresh start! Let's introduce ourselves!

My name is Jeremiah and I live in London. I am 30 years old and a gaming addict.. My first games console was the NES. I've since owned an N64, GameCube, Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4. I only really got into gaming properly with the Gamecube, but enjoyed most of the classics from older generations (I frequently borrowed the PS2 from my brother to play games). I would say the era of Resident Evil 4 and God of War was what really got me into gaming.

My other interests are films of all types, I love to read, and I am passionate about heavy metal music, notably European power metal such as Avantasia.

My real name is Shaun I live just outside of Nottingham. I am 33 years old , I have a 12 year old daughter and I am engaged for the third time in my life, shes a wonderful Lady so i am hopping the phrase third times a charm applies .. My first games experience was playing Mr men games on the Sinclair Spectrum when I was 2, my first actual console was the Atari 2600. I've since owned everything you can think of really, master system 2, mega-drive, snes, N64,saturn, playstation dreamcast GameCube, Xbox 360, PS3 , wii etcetera. Of the new gen stuff I have a Wii U and a PS4.

My other interests are films of all types but particularly horror movies especially 80's stuff, I read horror like King etc... I also write and sell my own Amazon kindle ebooks, mostly horror short stories. I don't currently work at least not in a paid for way due to a mix of health issues and bad luck but I do two voluntary jobs helping children who are bullied and children with mental health issues.

I've been gaming since the 80s, with a brief hiatus caused by poverty in the 90s . These days, I have all the current consoles except an Xbox1. And as I'm a bit of a collector/hoarder I've still got all my old ones too!

Away from games, I'm married with one child (who currently waits on the sofa next to me, watching the progress bar edge on in a WiiU system update). Big West Ham fan, which isn't as much fun as it sounds. Also have a casual interest in films and comics and, for a change of pace, abandoned places.

I have been gaming pretty much all my life. My earliest memories are of a controller being in my hands. I've been playing since the NES days and have worked my way up through most of the major consoles while being an on again/off again PC gamer.

I love games so much I decided to make a career out of them. I am currently working as an Internal Tester on a popular Singing game for a big publisher that rhymes with Pony as part of their studio that is named after our nation's capital. I'm hoping to move across to a game design role in the future.

Apart from games I like comic books. I like them a lot. Some would say obsessed but I say love but not as much as I love my wife! (Bullet dodged there )

Chris, 43 (yikes!) and currently residing in Milton Keynes, although I'll always be a South London boy at heart. AKA ThePigMarcher on the old forums, as I said elsewhere but this seems the more suitable place to mention that.

Been big into gaming ever since my old man picked up one of those Pong things back in the day, before moving onto the Acorn Electron and have owned pretty much all of the home consoles since the NES. Despite dabbling with other consoles I had always been a Nintendo first kind of gamer, that was until the Wii.

My main other obsession is US sport (barring basketball) and I have a serious passion for the Seattle Seahawks, some of you may already know that 

Not heavily into music or movies as I was were, largely because I firmly believe that both those mediums have had very little decent to offer since the 80's, or 90's if I feel generous.

My name is Dan and I'm 33 living in the North East (that's the actual North East for you southeners   ).

My good friend kerr9000 pointed me in the direction of here as normally I don't venture out of the confines of the Retro Gamer forum. I pretty much live on there as though I love playing new games the retro stuff is more my thing. I grew up with a NES and then SNES/GB before adding a N64. Fell out of gaming for a few years (met a woman and all that) but have since made up for it by adding Cube/Wii/DS/360/GBA/GBC/GBP/GBM/SMS/MD/DC/SS/Amiga 500 to the collection.

Outside of gaming I like the usual stuff of films/music (rock/punk etc)/reading/Football/Sci-fi (especially older stuff like Buffy and Angel and X-Files).

I also have a gaming blog and facebook page for it which I will put a link to in my signature once I'm all sorted here.

Hi, my name is Aaron and I am new to the forum!

I'm 26 and live in Woking with my wife and 6 week old son.  

I've been playing games for many years.  I have owned a NES, N64, ps1, ps2, xbox 360, wii, ps4, ps vita and wii u.   The N64 really got me into gaming but it was the ps2 era that fully grabbed me. 

Outside of gaming, I'm a big rugby fan and I'm really into my films and going through boxsets of TV shows.  I enjoy reading, especially epic fantasy stuff!  

My brother sent me the message on PSN and I thought I would pop along and help with this place getting started!

Used to be a rugby player myself a prop forward.... had what looked like a promising future in it till someone did a hit and run on me which resulted in me nearly loosing a leg and it now being full of metal...

My name is Mark (duh).

I'm 32 and live in Surrey with my fiancée (been together just over 7 years).

My earliest memory of gaming is some Pong variant and then Commodore Vic 20. We then moved onto a Commodore 64 and still playing games on cassette tapes. The first cartridge based games were ushered in then and it was amazing!

Been gaming from a young age as you can tell and have owned most major consoles and hand-helds

I currently own a GameCube, Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4, Vita and a gaming PC. I like games!

When I'm not gaming I'm very much into running at the moment. I'd say that was my other major hobby. I also love films, reading, TV shows, cars, football (Man Utd supporter).

My favourite ever game is probably Skyrim but not for definite!

My name in the real world is Charlie and I work for my brother in law's painting and decorating company. I live in a town called Stourbridge in the West Midlands.

I've been gaming since the early 80's, yes I'm old, 49!! and I've owned just about every console known to mankind in that time and my genre of choice is big action/adventure games, although I'm open to try anything really. Except beat em' ups, I'm useless at beat em' ups.  

I also love movies and sport, I'm also a Man U fan - bad start to the season today huh!  

I've played and loved way too many games to pick an all time favourite but if you held a gun to my head I'd probably say Final Fantasy VII or GTA: Vice City.

I've been been gaming since in can remember the earliest memory is playing sonic on the mega drive. Most recently I've been playing ps4 in the evening with MarkySharky who directed me to the forum

My current most played consoles are my vita and ps4 but I also own a Wii u, dreamcast,mega drive, 3ds, snes,game gear and an n64.

One of my all time favourite games is the last of us, I love how well written the story is and the character chemistry.

Funky Phil here. My real name is Phil Coulthard. I`m 42 & still enjoy playing my videogames.Currently working for Music Magpie as a QA controller.
My first ever console was a Intelvision in the mid 70`s then moved onto a Commodore 64 & been pretty much been addicted ever since. 
Love a good first person shooter (cod 4 being my all time favourite) & also love my racing games (Pgr2 is still yet to be beaten in my eyes!).
Owned pretty much every console through the years & currently own a Xbox One,X360 360 & my beloved Sega Dreamcast. Still waiting on a game on the Xbox One to truely blow me away but the forza horizon 2 demo has really impressed me.
