What grinds your gears?
Apart from not being able to find the droids that you are looking for...
People not indicating is my annoyance for the day, especially when you are sitting at a roundabout waiting to come out and some (insert insult here) just comes off without indicating. Grrrr.

When you buy things.. random things be it shavers, razors shampoo and such... or food and you have like 10.47 rolling around in your pocket and the total cost ends up being 10.48 and you have to break a note and get even more change

^^It takes like half a second to hit the indicator, people/drivers are becoming more and more damn annoying.
I had that the other day, total was £1.25 and I had £1.24 and had to use a tenner to pay.

Dropped lucky with this on the train today! Found a loose 5 pence that saved me.

Drivers in car parks who don't think the rules of the road - including indicating - do not apply in car parks.

I had to take my fiancée to the hospital the other day because she had injured her foot. After being seen we were walking to the bus, well me walking her hobbling, the driver could see her coming and its a medi link bus (designed to take patients between two hospitals) and he closed the door just as I got to it and drove off... really grinded my gears.

^^What a knob.
Mine today is people who just don't bother to read things.
For example, today the Metro system was down due to a powercut that affected nearly 50,000 houses and got knows what in the area. Instead of people just looking at the website of the local paper or the website of the Metro to see what is happening they go onto Facebook to completely whinge about how the Metro system is crap and useless and god knows what else.
Cue people telling them that it wasn't actually due to the Metro but was due to a powercut. These people are on the internet and on Facebook, not hard to just look at the newspaper website, well actually it is for these morons.
That reminds me, people who go on Facebook to ask for things like the number for a taxi firm. Hang on, you are on the internet so go to Google you lazy twat.

Isn't it ironic how access to more information seems to make some people even more stupid?

Inconsiderate, selfish people at work who attempt to book every possible Saturday or Sunday off so as to avoid ever doing that shift. Makes it stupidly hard to get whole weeks off or two Saturday's in a row if I'm going away for the week.

When you are walking down the aisle of a bus and someone on a seat in front just stands up without bothering to check that someone is coming down behind them.
Next person who does it gets kneed in the leg.

Drunk businessmen on the train out of London, seriously fuck those arrogant twats.
Re: What grinds your gears?
The Council round here.
Minor one first of all. Registered online for my voting stuff and requested a postal vote. Received an e-mail saying that all sorted and would receive the form to complete. Received the form through the post as well as a letter saying that I had registered online. I know as I did it and received an e-mail confirming it. Then received another letter saying that my online request had been successful. Again I know as they had e-mailed me confirming it all.
A waste of time and money as my partner also received the same letters after sorting everything online.
Major gripe, in my opinion, is that they have now decided to change the recycling scheme to pretty much not being able to recycle anything. It used to be paper, bottles, plastic, card etc. Now it's just bottles and paper so after years of recycling as much as possible it's now recycle as little as possible. Also means that the recycling bin will pretty much be empty and and the normal bin which is only collected fortnightly will most likely be overflowing every fortnight unless I drive out to the tip to dispose of stuff.

Re: What grinds your gears?
This is because it is usually more expensive for councils to sort and recycle a lot of materials. Plus the goodwill of them making recycling mandatory is gone now and nobody gives a crap about it once againdste01 wrote:The Council round here.

Also I hate having to deal with any government entity online. They must have a rule that means their digital infrastructure has to be absolute pants. I just had to submit my tax return and it is a huge ball ache already but the online forms just over complicated it and kept breaking
Re: What grinds your gears?
Yeah, I meant to say that about the recycling but forgot after my lengthy post.
I'm not some kind of eco warrior, just been recycling for years so it's second nature. Just find it really annoying that I now cannot recycle the little plastic tub that the tomatoes came in.

The knobend on the bus today so finished off his can of drink, had a shifty look to make sure no one was looking and then dumped it under the seat.
Twats like that really piss me off. If you brought it onto the bus you can take it back off the bus. It pretty much sums up the lazy, egotistical, self centred of a lot of modern society.
