The Resogun High-score Challenge

Time for a bit of harmless fun.

When I first picked up the PS4 I was really looking forward to seeing how miserably my scores compared to you lot, after all, Resogun is a game that everyone has right? Little did I know that, due to being late to the PS4 party, said Leaderboards had been reset since (I presume) when most of you last played it so I had very few scores to aim for.

I know the game is hardly the newest but it is such a perfect game for high score chases so I figured it may be worth trying to start a little friendly competition. 

I would suggest doing the Challenge on Arcade mode and maybe one for each difficulty setting (Experienced and above) and to get things started I'll post my current high scores.

Experienced: 29.8 million (not too embarrassing but easily beatable)
Veteran: 12.7 million (not a good score at all)
Master: Ha, I can dream

OK guys, I've thrown down the gauntlet and hopefully we can help prevent Marky from slipping into a pit of despair   due to the community gaming section being largely unused.

Let's do this!

I might be up for this too. I will have to redownload the game though. Will try and find some time.

Inspired by my own thread  and the concern that some of you couldn't wait to take on my scores I returned to the game last night.

Ended up having a co-op session with a buddy who (admittedly) carried me a fair bit but which resulted in us finally completing all the levels on Veteran, not in one continue however, as our couple of attempts at that failed miserably. It certainly boosted my trophy haul anyway but we were disappointed that you're not able to unlock Master difficulty via co-op so I still don't have a target for you lot, I'm sure some of you have managed that though.

This did at least inspire me to have another crack solo this afternoon and I managed to boost my high score on Experienced by around 5 million and more than doubled my pitiful high score on Veteran.
