Disappointing
This will be the most redundant section of the forum and this causes me a lot of sadness. We once had a fairly active online gaming community but most of you boring sods (just checking you're reading this!) don't play online much anymore.
Re: Disappointing
I'm a busy man these days but I am going to be all over Destiny when that comes out.
We'll need to get a team together for the 6 player friends only Raids!

Re: Disappointing
I miss the days when playing together meant all crammed round a sofa with a few exceptions I have never found online as fun.... Did have a great time on Halo 3 when four of us who had spent every day at school together ended up on at the same time on the same day ... and a few good times on the first Gears of war but other than that I have found it largly hollow

Or more like, some of you just don't play (or even like) the same games that I do .
Seriously though, as you all know I'm not the most active online gamer but combine that with my general dislike for most of the multiplayer big hitters then it's never really going to work is it?
I'm still partial to a bit of TLOU MP on PS3 (although I've recently been reminded of how awful I am), Madden is usually a big draw for me (even though most of the community are asshats) and maybe a little Soul Sacrifice Delta or Resogun but yeah, it's very rare that I'll get drawn into multiplayer.

Re: Disappointing
I'm never been an online gamer and always preferred single player games. When I have played the likes of Battlefield I tend to go in alone and play as an engineer so I can help other folks out. I think my main problem is I'm really quite shit at online games, particularly shooters. I don't like letting other people down with my poor performance.

Re: Disappointing
Apart from a brief spell when I was really into COD online matches when the original Modern Warfare came out I've always preferred single player games. I might give Destiny a go though.

Re: Disappointing
I play online quite a bit but it usually at random times and mostly online RPG based.
I also play a fair few games with the wife and she doesn't take kindly to strangers joining our co-op shenanigans.

Re: Disappointing
Well you're all missing out is all I can say.
The feeling of working well with people cannot be matched by any single player game experience for me.
Don't get me wrong, I love single player as much as the next person but there's something hugely satisfying when you succesfully outwit other humans as a team/group/squad. The same applies to co-op gaming as well, it just evokes different feelings that a single player game can't rival.
