Re: E3 Predictions, Hopes, Dreams, Shouting and Finger Pointing
I do love E3 season, more so for the build up and hype than the actual show which usually slightly disappoints. I think Megablast has nailed most of what we'll see. I would love there to be some Vita re-energising from Sony but there won't be. I'd wet myself if Ubisoft showed Beyond Good and Evil 2. That won't happen either. I'm interested to see what Nintendo do next. My guess; A Wii-U re-design rather than a whole new console.

I read on Metro/GameCentral that Nintendo have said they wont be talking about Zelda WiiU at E3 but a new Star Fox game could be a possibility.

I'd be surprised if they didn't at least include a new video in the E3 Nintendo direct.megablast16 wrote:I read on Metro/GameCentral that Nintendo have said they wont be talking about Zelda WiiU at E3 but a new Star Fox game could be a possibility.
Then again this is Nintendo so.......
Re: E3 Predictions, Hopes, Dreams, Shouting and Finger Pointing
Nintendo really should start hiring some other studios to pump out some of its IP... the F zero made by sega would have been one of the greatest games of all time if it wasnt so ridiculously hard.

Re: E3 Predictions, Hopes, Dreams, Shouting and Finger Pointing
Seems to be rumours circulating that Dark Souls 3 will be announced at E3. The best thing about the news (if true) is that Hidetaka Miyazaki will lead the team so hopefully it will be better than Dark Souls 2 ever was.
There's also speculation that the game could be announced at Sony's conference although I fully expect the game to remain multi-platform, it's not like Sony will have fuck all of their own to announce anyway by the looks of it.
I'm not usually one to get that hyped about 'rumours' but another Soul's game with Miyazaki heading it is something most definitely worth getting excited about, so please be fucking true.

In other E3 news it looks like Fallout 4 is happening, with a countdown to an initial reveal tomorrow at 3pm UK time ahead of a full showing at E3.

Still not officially confirmed but Eurogamer have shown this image that was leaked to IGN in the build up to E3, and are saying it will be revaeled in full at E3! If true it's a lot earlier than I thought it would be.
Also came across this video, that purports to show screenshots and reveals more info.

Another E3 rumour. The Guardian of all places is reporting that they have it "on very good authority" that the near mythical The Last Guardian will finally be shown a E3. I'll believe it when I see it myself.

I want to believe but at this point I would be surprised if the game resurfaced.
Re: E3 Predictions, Hopes, Dreams, Shouting and Finger Pointing
To add to the Last Guardian rumour, the latest is that Mark Cerny, of Knack and architect of the PS4 fame, has been brought it to head up final development and actually get the thing out the door. I'll still believe it when I see it.

Not long now! I've got the buzz! Who's staying up for the Sony conference? I think I'm more interested in what Microsoft reveal but I hope Sony pull some rabbits out of the hat too.

Re: E3 Predictions, Hopes, Dreams, Shouting and Finger Pointing
I'll watch the Microsoft show live as it happens at a decent time here in the UK. I'm not getting up in the middle of the night to watch the Sony show though, I did that last year and regretted it at work the rest of the day, I'll just catch up with the highlights later in the day. I think the MS show will be the more interesting too as it's the first E3 with Phil Spencer now fully in control of all things Xbox, last year he was still picking up the pieces from the last regime, and they need to pull out all the stops to halt the PS4 juggernaught.

Just watched Videogame Nation, which today was an E3 special and pretty good. It's repeated tomorrow at midnight if you missed it. Don't know if anybody ever watches Videogame Nation but it's not bad actually. It can be found on Challenge - Freeview 46, SKY 145 and Virgin 139. New episodes appear Saturday mornings at 10am.

If only I didn't have to go to work I would be staying up every night this week!
Also... I got lazy and I haven't been able to do the tinkering required to set up a special E3 page for all the awesomeness.
Still every other gaming website should have you covered. Just come back here for post-briefing chit chat!
