Games considered bad that you love

So are there any games that get a lot of flack but you happen to love.

One example would be Sonic Racing Transformed which has already been touched on it got some scores around the 62% mark from the official Nintendo magazine for the Wii U version and yet I thought it was a rather brilliant game really. I enjoyed it on the Wii U and the 360


I also happen to love the Xbox Live title real Steel... robot boxing where you can bash arms and heads off and it plays like a mix between punchout and some kind of wrestling game... I couldnt see what there really was to hate about it really.. In fact in the past I have wrote a whole review about how much I love it.

Does the ending of Mass Effect 3 count for me?

For me though it has to be games like Dynasty Warriors. Whenever I get one I always enjoy the hell out of it. Yet the series still has a stigma around.

Also Kinect Sports on the 360. I played way more of that game than any man should!

Alpha Protocol

I really liked Alpha Protocol as well , it was just a spy version of mass effect/knights of the old republic really... I didnt see much of the things people moaned about.. I thought it was really good

I remember playing the Conan game from early in the last gen. It got mediocre but not bad reviews, many of them saying it was an inferior God Of War clone though. Well it wasn't up to GOW's standards but I enjoyed it a lot.

I liked that Conan game, other than the final boss. I kept getting caught by it and then I had to wait for the 'hit' animation to play out, by which time I was about to get hit again. I got so cross I part exchanged it.

I really  liked Agent Armstrong on PS1 that got awful reviews. More recently, the Sniper Elite games, and the EDF games I've enjoyed, though they get mixed rather than hateful reviews.

Does Call of Duty count? Most people hate those games now but I'm still a sucker for my 7 hours a year of adrenaline (CoD Ghosts excepted, that was a pretty poor game).

Speaking of God of War clones I actually really enjoyed Dante's Inferno. It gives up halfway but man the first few levels of it are brilliant in terms of design, imagery (both conscious and subconscious) and gameplay.

Agreed Cal. Really enjoyed that myself.

I loved Dantes Inferno. Is that really considered a bad game? 

I really enjoyed the Superstars V8 Racing games but they were poorly reviewed.

Dantes Inferno was slagged off for being such a God of War clone although it's art style was liked I believe.
