Interesting that you liked the ending - not seen many people who do!

Depite thinking that the losing of the memories was rushed and unnecessary I really enjoyed the last episode. Jeffster and the bomb were fab, Morgan being the conductor was good, casey changing and being happy was nice and Chuck and Sarah were going to be happy.
It was a fun way to end the show.

I have watched the first 2 Episodes of Ash Versus Evil Dead and think that it is amazing, I am also a huge fan of the new Muppets show the 6 episodes I have seen had me in stitches.

Finished Season 1 of Bosch the other day. Whilst never reaching any particularly amazing moments, it was consistently very good and engaging throughout. They nailed the character and the general atmosphere so I would say it is a must for any Michael Connelly fans.
Started The Man in the High Castle too. Very good. It will be quite heavy going I think but the pilot really was excellent.

Friends is good and defined the era of TV it came out in. But everyone talks about it like it is the greatest sitcom ever made The legacy it left behind has resulted in far too many shows trying to replicate it.kerr9000 wrote:just been watching some Friends .. yeah my daughters 13 and she wanted to know what it was because some kids were on about it.
Re: General TV thread
The thing I find with Friends is that when it was on the first few seasons were good but then the quality dropped by season the longer it went on.
Now I just find it annoying to watch as I find the characters to be so unlikable. I mean who wouldn't want to punch Ross if you knew him in real life.

Trivia
An Irish comedy/drama about a guy who captains a pub quiz team. Only twelve episodes and it was decent enough.

Been watching Planet Dinosaur. It's boring, stilted and has terrible CGI. A far cry from Walking With Dinosaurs...

Anyone else watch And Then There Were Nome on BBC over the last few days? It's a Agatha Christie mutder mystery and had a slow start but picks up until I found I had to watch it all and see who would be killed next and who was behind it all. Very good watch.

Re: General TV thread
Finished Chuck series 4 today. It's taken a long time to watch this on and off as it never fully grabbed us but we finally sat down and watched the last batch of episodes. Chuck used to be great but despite some good episodes was mostly very samey which is why I think we never really managed to keep watching. Only a short series 5 left.
Also watched Jessica Jones. I really don't like this Marvel tv universe and don't find its super grim, overly dark and rather depressing style something I want to spend time in. I think it's a massive let down so far and a real wrong move for Marvel. That said, it's better than Daredevil. A bumpy opening episode aside it really picks up momentum and interest up to the mid way point. But then there's an early climax and I found the last few episodes dragged the story out a bit too much when it should have already been over. But on the whole it wasn't too bad.

Finished American Horror Story series 1 recently and quite enjoyed it. The first few episodes were a bit crap but it was a slow burner. Towards the end there was a building dread and almost every scene was laced with double meanings or important consequences. It became riveting stuff by the end and all the little dots and plots were connected. Very clever well written stuff. Gone straight into series 2.

Re: General TV thread
Fringe seasons one to three.
Season one started off terrible and if it wasn't for people saying stick with it I may have given up. Thankfully it did massively improve and the second season was a hell of a lot better. Season three was great until a couple of story lines near the end which put me off but it then ended superbly.

Re: General TV thread
Made a start on Supergirl and I've really been enjoying it. Like The Flash it embraces the cheesy side of the character and the Superman mythos. The first episode is a bit ropey but ep 2 onwards is golden.
Re: General TV thread
Fringe seasons four and five.
All done and dusted now. Season four was a bit odd due to what happened to one of the characters at the end of season three, was good though with having the parallel universe episodes as well. Season five on the other hand not so much. Credit to the writers for changing the format to fit the shorter episode count but overall it just didn't do it for me and whilst the final episode was good overall it was a bit pointless.
I'm glad that I watched the series as I think that it was a good show with great characters and moments and some fab episodes but overall it didn't quite reach the greatness that it could have.

Dead Like Me season one.
Despite a random clip show in a fourteen episode season I enjoyed the rest of the episodes.

Dead Like Me season two.
Ended up really liking the series overall. Just the direct to TV movie to go which I've read is supposed to be poor.
