Got the idea after seeing Markys video channel. So yes, please share away!

Not sure if its useful info but Windows Movie Maker is a nice bit of editing software for your PC and best of all its free. Simply download your videos into Movie Maker and edit away.

If you want to go a bit more pro. Adobe Premiere and Sony Vegas are the picks of the litter.

I wish they'd fix the broken share feature on PS4. I loved how it used to record all the time so if you had anything cool you definitely caught it. Now it's a case of remembering to record when you start a game

I don't have any issues with it these days. Did for a while but a patch seems to have sorted it.

Have you checked your settings to make sure when/what it records?

Love this thread. If you do something cool on PS4, just press share - it seems to go back about 10 minutes of gameplay from my own experience. I made this below video today. I reached the end of a level, and decided to turn it into a video - just pressed share, and it took my last ten minutes of gameplay. So here's some of me playing Transformers, Chapter 10, which is set back on Earth. It's fairly late into the game, and is gameplay featuring Bumblebee. 

Nice one Wolvie. The PS4s video sharing facility is excellent I must say.

Wasn't to keen on the look of that game for my personal tastes though, looked very old in terms of gameplay and graphics but that might be partly due to the way You Tube compresses the hell out of vids.

I do like the transformation animation though.

It's so easy to share videos on PS4. Maybe a direct share to Youtube would be good, but I find the linking to Facebook isn't brilliant. I prefer just copying to a USB then dealing with my video from my laptop. But it's still so simple. To just press two buttons, and you've automatically saved a section of gameplay, which you can then edit is brilliant. 

I intend to make more videos from every game I now play, and build up my Youtube to make it a nice little collection of my own, personal gaming videos. So little gameplay vignettes, like the Transformers one above. It's fun to have that little bit of personalisation.

I was talking to Marky about this recently actually, and despite the wealth of gameplay videos, its always more interesting to watch gameplay from people you know. So I'd love to see everyone on here share their own videos.

Wolvie has inspired me to make a quick vid. Just basically the opening sequence literally the first few minutes as I didn't want to spoil anything for anyone.

BTW Wolvie I have subscribed to your channel and I look forward to seeing more of your gameplay.

This may be a bit out there, but maybe some folk would like to do game reviews for The Checkpoint. Nothing serious but just for fun?

It's something we can do. We can give it its own section too to help it stand out a bit. I would say if a couple of people wanted to go down the reviews route to make them video reviews on YouTube so we can use that as a way to send people to the forums if they like the reviews. 

But anything like that would have to be agreed on by the collective and content creation would have to be delegated to someone who is not me. Although I will gladly take on the role of editor in chief to manage any YouTube channels and such.

Work is still a tad busy for me at the moment but I have a couple of plans on working out what direction we want to take the site in.

I think a YouTube channel for our forum would be awesome! I'd be happy to look into managing that unless others wanted too. I'm not so bothered about making my own reviews in video form but would love to see others. As I said it's always more fun to watch videos and opinions from you guys rather than just random people on YouTube.

Yeah a 'The Checkpoint' YouTube channel would be cool :-)

Although I realise most of TCP are console players. I will post some PC game vids too because I reckon you all appreciate games no matter what platform. I think this generation on the PC will be Space sim based. Theres so many coming out but this one is one of the better ones.

Here's an awesome video of Marky and I playing BF4 tonight. We start the game, jump into the helicopter, and go on a 7 minute killing spree. Well, Marky did. It was a one man chopper really, with only a passenger seat I couldn't even shoot a weapon from. So I I just sat and watched Marky's one man killing machine. We died shortly after this video ends.

That was a lot of fun. The other team was shit to let me get away with that for so long!

Here is my first in-game encounter with the alien. It's not the first encounter, but its my first fully playable meeting. And it was tense. And you can see my sudden panic about halfway in. Brilliant!At 0.32 it's like, "argh which way shall I go?" then at 0.42 it's like "shitshitshit".

One of the better touchdowns I've scored in recent years on Madden (aka a video none of you will view because it's Madden ). A great way to start off the second half of a game.

Ha! I wanted to try out the video capture/editing etc and seeing as the PS4 still isn't getting as much use as I'd like (although it's getting slowly better) I didn't have many other games to capture from. Anyway, you know I like to post things that no-one else on these boards is going to .

I did actually watch the video and I just don't get American football!
