Games You would really really love to see a Sequel for Th?id=JN.0amGRVJ%2bTZXNT3ZgxVWXvw&pid=15

Ok I am talking about games you'd like a sequel to... the more strange or obscure the better.

I will start of with a few of my own examples of things I would love to see. OK as can be told from the picture I scalped for this I am not the first to say it but Uniracers from the SNES is in real real need of either a downloadable budget or a hand held sequel. It has the right mix of skill and simplicity to mean that anyone can pick it up, but it takes a long time to become a master. Basically its a racing and stunt game on a unicycle so nice and strange there.

My second suggestion is  Jewel Master the megadrive game by sega.. So its an action platformer in which your weapons are rings. You find rings and put different combinations of them on your fingers in order to gain powers to use both to fight the enemies and try increase your abilities such as your jump or your general speed. The original is hard as balls but fun and has a brilliant soundtrack.. I would love to see it get a sort of modern Dark Souls style sequel.

A proper Overlord sequel :p

TBF, there's probably a few I could think of if I give it a little more thought.

So after a smidgeon of research...there was going to be a sequel which was cancelled in 2007 despite the game being critically well received and fairly well received commercially.  There was also going to be a film!!!!

A film would have been pretty cool.

not while Sega are owned by Sammy I wouldn't expect it to happen.... seriously they need selling to someone with a lot more resources and ambition.

Can you imagine what a big draw it would be for Microsoft, Sony or Nintendo to fully own Sega and all of its IP?

So much Sega stuff needs sequels that will most likly never happen... Streets of Rage 4 would be awesome, Gain ground 2, Alien Storm 2... theyd all make awesome download titles ive made as pure sequels or you could make really cool remakes

Sega is another one of those publishers that has shifted focus onto mobile games/apps for better or worse. The end result is it that their traditional audience is being left out in the cold.

It wouldn't take much but they could easily port Shenmue over to smartphones/tablets at this point. The only really big change it would need is the Virtua Fighter fighting mechanics. Change them for swipe based controls and have at it. QTEs could be kept the same but just display the buttons on screen.

I am still holding out for an announcement of a Western release of Phantasy Star Online 2 as well. A pain made worse because there is a fully English localised version of the game available in Asia. I can't be bothered jumping through the hopes of setting up and then modding the Japanese version to play in English so I am stuck waiting....and waiting.....and waiting.....

I think like the return of Firefly we may have to accept that this is never going to happen. Sad

I'm rather boring. The sequel I want most is a Ghost Recon game. The last three entries I've loved, so I still want another. Perhaps the fact it's not a yearly release makes the desire for one more enticing than, say, the next AssCreed which I also love but know will be coming out each November.

I'd also like a sequel to Dead Space done properly.

I'd love to see a sequel to Brutal Legend, only this time more fleshed out (fuck you Activision for fucking up development of the first game) and with less of a focus on making the single player game little more than a warm-up for the multiplayer.

Another Deadly Premonition game wouldn't go amiss either. Never going to happen seeing as Swery 65 no longer has the rights and TBF it wouldn't be possible to do much with the original cast of characters.

Speaking of lost licenses/rights, FFS give us a sequel to Killer 7. Hell, I'd even settle for a HD remake although Capcom have also been quite clear on saying that there's no intention of doing anything with the IP. Why would they, after all they appear to be yet another publisher that's more obsessed with focusing their future on the fucking mobile market.

I remember really enjoying Brutal Legend but then getting stuck on it.... I dont think I was massivly stuck I think it was just one of those I am annoyed, rather than getting in to a rage I will walk away play something else and come back at this from a fresh perspective sort of things ..never went back to it though.

I have to admit though it did do a lot of things right and I did enjoy my time with it.

I'd actually like to see a sequel to Beyond: Two Souls, at least a couple of the endings left room for the story to continue.

I think I could probably predict where you got stuck as there was one point in the game where a lot of players got frustrated and bailed.........could it have been on the Dry Ice, Wet Graves stage battle?

Heavenly Sword. Actually I seem to remember Ninja Theory did suggest a sequel might be possible if it was a success but nothing ever came of it obviously and then they moved on to multi-plat games. Their next game looks like it might have at least some Heavenly Sword influences though.

Axelay on the SNES if you finish it a couple of times in a row actually promises a sequel and yet even to this day there has never been one ....always sucks when games or developers promise or suggest one and it never happens.

I'd fancy a new Dishonored but I'd put up with a remaster.  But what I *really* want is a new Xcom

I agree on the New Xcom  .... I dont even care if they just use the work they did on the last one and do a Remake of Terror from the deep on the same engine ....I just want more.

I finished Xcom enenmy unknown on xbox 360, PS3 and PC... I finished Enemy within on xbox 360 and then I am about half way through it on ps3... cant get enough of it
